Our Last Blog D:

Hello my dear classmates and bloggers!

This is our last blog post :’(, and in this one, I’m going to tell you about this whole experience through the semester. I would like to start saying that the most part of the time it was a really fun experience.  Write the blogs every week it was an entertained way to force us to include new vocabulary and to improve our writing capacity.  In my personal experience, I think that know I’m more conscious of what I’m writing than the few past months.

In the future, I would like that be more free topics, which were the best topics I think. In my opinion, there is no a negative point, just some topics that I didn’t like because for me they were bore, like “3Rs” or “A place to eat”.

But, the most awesome part of the experience, is the Teacher ^^. She was always worried about our requirements, giving us her help and every little thing. And for that reason, I think that is the greatest English teacher in the university ;).

I’m gonna try to keep writing on the blog, because is a good way to relax when the university stuff get hard.

So, that’s all! It was a placer 

My Career!

Hello everybody!

I hope that everyone is alright with the finals! Today I’m going to talk about my career. As you know (I think) I’m studying psychology, and the reason of why I’m studying this is because my parents didn’t let me study Drama, and the only career that I liked it was this one.

In my opinion, the psychologists are professionals who can contribute to society in a lot of different ways. For example, a clinical psychologist can contribute to fix the mental problems of the people, or a communitarian psychologist can do a fieldwork with people who need help with social problems, or an organizational psychologist can work improving the relationships in a company. There’s a lot a ways to contribute to society and that is the reason of why I like this career.

The mains tools that a psychologist has to have will depend of the area that he works in, because some areas are different, and even in one area are different paradigms; for example, I can be a clinical psychologist from a constructionist paradigm or from a psychoanalysis paradigm, there is a lot of options to choose.

I don’t have a favourite, but my least hated subject is Psychology and Methodology of Social Research. I like those subjects but not a hundred percent, because some contents are bore.

In the future, I want to specialize in Organizational Psychology, because in High School I studied Business Administration so I can link that profession with this one.

3 Rs

Hello dear bloggers and classmates!
Today I'm going to talk about the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Actually, I don't practice this 3 things really often :P, I consider myself not a really green person as I must be. Everyday I forgot to turn off the light, so I need to take care of that. Even with my reprehensible behavior, I think that the 3 Rs are so important for our world. We must take care of the Earth, because we live on it, and at some point, if we continue doing bad things for the planet, there will be consecuences. So it's important think about our actions and what are our responsabilities with the planet where we live, and the 3 Rs are a great way to contribute to the planet
So I invite you to think about this and make a change, because the change start on us.

Somethings that I'd like to Learn O.o

Hello dear bloggers! Today I will talk about something that I’d like to learn and there’s so many things that I’d like to learn, and I’ll tell you the most important.

First of all, I’ll like to learn classic dance, because is an art where I had not explore and for me it’s really fun; and I say classic dance and no another because classic dance, I think, requires a more assiduously because it has a harder technique   . Also, I’d like to learn something related to the medicine or surgery, I know that is wire but It’s something really interesting for me, actually, when I was a child I wont to be an surgeon. 

Another thing that I’d like to learn and it’s something that I did once in my life is take sing lessons. I had to leave the lessons because my scholar efficiency get worse, and I needed more time to study, so I’d like to restart that activity.

And the last important thing that I’d like to learn is cook jaja, because now that I live her I need to eat varied food, not only pasta and salad. I don’t like cook but it’s something necessary in this point of my life.

A place to eat

I like go out to eat with my family and actually I don’t have favorite place to eat. We went to different places every time, for example, one day, we went to a traditional Rancagua restaurant called “Patito Junior” on the Rancagua center. We eat home food, there’s a lot of option to choose like cazuelas, ajiaco, cocimiento, etc. It’s delicious.

Another place where I went it’s a pub called “Pasion” on the Rancagua center too. I like to go there with my friends in the night, it’s a quiet place where you can enjoy with a conversation, drinking  a juice, beer, water, whatever you want, and eat fast food, home food, etc.

Finally, I like to say that I know that is not healthy but I love pizza! So telepizza or pizza hut are places where you can find me sometimes. I try not to eat pizza really often, because I care about my health and my body jajaj. My order is champiñon, extra cheese and pepperoni.

I really enjoy eat, I don’t have a prefer type of food, I like to try different things.

My Topic for Next Week D:

Hello dear classmates!

Next week we have our presentation, and in this blog I'll tell you about the topic that I've chosen.

First of all, I’m studying psychology and I’ve chosen a way to apply this discipline: Drama Therapy.

The Drama Therapy is a way to help people using the theater and I listened about this because of my roommate is studying theater and she told me that she want to take classes of Drama Therapy. Since then I’m fascinate with the idea that I’m can link my career with my passion (the theater), and that is the reason of why I have chosen this topic.

I don’t know how it will be the structure of my presentation yet, but I would like to explain what it is, the discipline’s history, where you can study it, and some examples.

In my opinion, the main elements of this topic are the ways to apply it (role-play, theatre games, mime, puppetry, etc), and what are the problems that you can treat with this therapy like solve a problem, achieve a catharsis, delve into truths about self, etc.

My Biggest Ambition

Hello!

Today I’m going to tell you my biggest ambition. This is something that I know that I’ll go to do at some point on my life, and is be a great actor.

I grew up wishing be an actor in the future, and when I went to high school and I joined to the Drama class, my life completely change.

I would love to be a professional actor because I’m 

fascinated with the idea of play different characters, to communicate something, make people happy with a comedy or make people cry (in a good sense) with a tragedy, and also, I love the applauses.

I think that I have this ambition because I grew up watching movies, TV, and I like the show biz, it seems very fun. The person who inspired me is my Drama Teacher miss Maria Cristina Mussatto Lobos, all who I am today as an actor is because of her.

Reach this dream, it would mean so much to me, because at this point, act is part of my life, I can’t imagine a world where I’m not involved on the Theater.

The Greatest Star: Miss Barbra Streisand

Hello everybody!

Today I'm going to talk to you about the greatest female artist in the whole world, the one and only Barbra Streisand *-* <3

I fell in love with this woman when I saw her in Funny Girl, a movie from 1968. In that movie, she plays as the hilarious Fanny Brice. After that, I've seen so many movies of her, like: The Way We Were, Funny Lady, The Guilt Trip and Yentl. Also, Yentl was the first movie that was produced, directed, written and starring by a woman, and that woman is Miss Barbra Streisand.

Also, Barbra is a great musician, I love her voice so much, that I could listen her forever. My favorite Barbra's song is Don't Rain On My Parade. It's a great great song.

Nowadays, Barbra is 72, and as a matter of fact, her birthday is today! (April 24th). This amazing woman is very talented, she can sing, dance, act, write and several other awesome things. And, a fun fact, Miss Streisand has her own mall! Just for her!*-*

I love this woman, I could marry her jaja. I admire her so much, her career is so awesome, and even with her age, she keeps singing as if she were 20 years old.

My favorite Piece of Technology

     Hello, today I’m going to tell you about my favorite piece of technology. Actually, there is two pieces of technology that I love: My cellphone and my phones.

     I think that I like this pieces because are very useful. I mean, you can your cellphone to keep contact with people far away from you, also you can do so many things more complex like: send an e-mail, post a photo or even do a video call. But one of the things that I like on cellphones is that you can listen to music. I love music a lot, and I like to hear it when I’m walking, running, traveling or when I’m happy, sad, angry, etc.

     To hear music, I need something really important if I don’t want to make troubles to another people: my phones. Some people say that in the future I’m going to be deaf but I don’t feel that. I love the fact that when I use my phones everything seems to be ok.

     I got my current cellphone last June when change the old cellphone for this one on Claro Company and since that moment I use it every day, in almost every minute, but I used cellphones and phones since I was a child of almost 12 years old.

     Probably the world without these pieces would be very bored in my opinion, because music complements us as the persons that we are. There’s a song for almost every single moment in the life like: engagement, death, prom, parties, New Year, Christmas, etc. So I think that the world wouldn’t be the same without music.

One of my favourite photos

I saw last year Glee's perfomance of "Applause" and on that performance appear a character really awesome. And i said: "I have to do that". I told to my artistic friend Orlando "Hey dude, can we do this photo with Florsifa (A friend)?, His face was like "It would be awesome". So the next saturday we went to his home and we started preparing the clothes, make up and the camera.

Orlando's cousin took us the photos, because we were creating all the scene to do something incredible.

The basically concept of the photo is the Theatricality, we wanted to express that and i think, in my opinion, that we made it. 

In the photo you can see me with all the make up (Face white, eyes blue and skyblue and some part of the face was yellow and red). Also, you can see Orlando's and Florsifa's arms.

Once in my home i used Photoshop to edit the photo and put only the face in color and the rest in black and white.

I really love so much this photo because is so theatrical and that is just who i am as a person, as you know i'm an young actor and i love these kind of photos for all the concept that is involve on it.

It was November 25, 2011. And my theater class and I, were arrived to Pichilemu, to show our play in de Regional Championship of Drama. We were all excited about this new experience. We arrive to our home for those 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). I put my clothes and other things in my room that I shared with my friend David, and then we went to lunch.

We went to the beach after lunch and in the evening we went to watch the other plays of the championship.

That day, we went to sleep really early because that next day we had to show are play in the morning. The play was a complete success and we enjoined every part of it.

In the night we went to celebrate that success and we slept very late.

I love this place for all the memories that I have. Every single minute that I spent on Pichilemu has a part on my heart. And, actually, I think that is a really quiet and nice place to visit on holidays.

Who Am I?

Hi everyone out there! My name is Felipe. I'm a student of Psychology at the Chile University. I was born on Rancagua in March 31, 96. I live with my mom and sisters. I travel every single day to Santiago, i know what you're thinking: that must be stressful but at least to this point, i'm fine with it. I'm a young actor in trainning. I love the theather and especially the musical theater like Broadway. I think the most defeating but gorgeous role that i had to play it was a child called Daniel. He is a boy of 10 years old with Down Sindrome. It was something hard to do, but finally it was, in my opinion, one of the greatest characther in my life. I love the music too. I was on piano class and sing lessons. I love all the arts. I'm obsessed with a TV show call Glee. This show make a break in my mind and the 50% of who i am today is because of that show. That's me! Someone fun (i guess), artistic, good friend and ready to support people when they need it.
